Demario DeWayne White Jr., professionally known as “Moneybagg Yo,” was born on September 22, 1991, in South Memphis, Tennessee, to Demario DeWayne White Sr., and Whitney White. Most of his early life is shrouded in mystery, as he hasn’t disclosed many details. However, we do know that Demario was interested in the music industry from an early age. Upon completing his education from East High School, he opted not to go to college to pursue his music career.
Demario’s first foray into the music industry came with the release of his debut mixtape, “From da Block 2 da Booth,” on April 16, 2012. A few months later, he followed up with his second mixtape, “October 20,” released on October 16, 2012. Because of these successes, Moneybagg Yo doubled his efforts, releasing various mixtapes such as: “La Familia,” “Relentless,” “Federal,” “Federal Reloaded,” “Everybody Lives On,” “4 the Hard Way,” “2 Heartless,” and “All Gas No Brakes.”
He hit one of his career highs in 2017 with his “Federal 3X” mixtape release. This project was a smashing success as it peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200.
In addition, the project generated over $30,000 in revenue from sales alone. Demario followed this project up with the release of his “Fed Baby’s” mixtape. He rode the wave of his success by releasing two mixtapes, “2 Heartless,” and “Bet on Me,” which charted respectably on the Billboard 200. His most recent mixtape, “Code Red,” was released on September 18, 2022.
Moneybagg Yo gained further ground in the rap industry with the release of several hit studio albums. His first album, “Reset,” generated about $30,000 in sales revenue and was released on November 2, 2018. His follow-up studio album, “43va Heartless,” was released the next year and generated over $40,000 in sales revenue alone. However, these little milestones weren’t enough for Moneybagg Yo. As such, he kicked it up several notches with the release of his biggest project to date, “Time Served.” This album was released on January 10, 2020, and generated over $500,000 in sales revenue. In addition, “Time Served” was certified Gold by RIAA. His latest album, “A Gangsta’s Pain,” was released earlier this year, in April to be precise.
Moneybagg Yo’s Personal Life and Net Worth
Moneybagg Yo’s most famous relationship was with renowned rapper Megan Thee Stallion a couple of years ago. Rumors of their relationship intensified with recurrent sightings of the two rappers together.
Currently, Moneybagg Yo is dating social media influencer and model Ariana Fletcher. He started dating her in January last year. Their relationship was going strong as he even gifted her a Lamborghini on her birthday in July 2020. However, the couple broke up a few months ago as Ariana recently confirmed that she split up with him. It appears that the relationship ended on bad terms as the two aren’t even following each other on Instagram anymore.
Moneybagg Yo has gathered a vast chunk of wealth from his years in the music industry. From chart-topping albums and hit singles to award-winning collaborations and performances, it’s no surprise that the rapper is worth a whopping $6 million.
